The Air Operations Section is a support unit for the County of Los Angeles Fire Department.

We provide air support for medical rescues, mountain searches, swiftwater rescues, bluewater rescues, trauma rescues, Catalina Island rescues, and wildland fires. In addition we support the Mapping and Forestry sections.

The section consists of a 52 member staff and 8 helicopters.
