The Los Angeles County Fire Department Health Hazardous Materials Division (HHMD) has coordinated with the Department of Public Works and the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) to secure funding for the cleanup of effected Station Fire properties.
DTSC will be funding free household hazardous waste clean-up and collection services to the affected residents of the Station Fire. If you would like to receive this service, print the Right of Entry Permit consent form, fill it out and FAX it to the LA Co. Fire Dept. Health Hazardous Materials Div. Emergency Operations Section, to the attention of Barbara C. Yu. The FAX # is 323-890-4046.
Also Make a copy of the signed form, put it in a plastic sheet protector, tack it on a wooden stake & put the stake with this info near the front of your property to be assessed and cleaned. If you’ve already done the asbestos assessment, also put a copy of the report with the consent form.
We will be starting the cleanup this coming Monday (11-16-09).
Household hazardous waste includes small propane tanks, household chemicals, and other products used for cleaning, painting, lubricating, and disinfecting the house.
If you need assistance, please call Los Angeles County Fire Department, Emergency Operations Section at (323) 890-4317 between 7am -5pm, M-F. |
