On Thursday, August 22, 2024, County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) Fire Captain Jeremy Frye received the Pomona Optimist Fire Fighter of the Year at the annual Respect for Public Safety Awards Dinner in Pomona!

On Thursday, August 22, 2024, County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) Fire Captain Jeremy Frye received the Pomona Optimist Fire Fighter of the Year at the annual Respect for Public Safety Awards Dinner in Pomona!

Held at the Fuego Cocina and Cantina in Pomona, approximately 100 community and business leaders, public safety officials, family, and friends gathered to celebrate this special recognition.

In honor of Captain Frye’s recognition, LACoFD East Region Deputy Fire Chief Eleni Pappas took to the stage to commend Captain Frye for his service and dedication to the Department and City of Pomona with Acting Assistant Chief Dustin Robertson and Battalion Chief Matt Briones.

Currently assigned to Fire Station 186 in the City of Pomona, Captain Frye is a 16-year member of the LACoFD and has served the City of Pomona as firefighter, firefighter specialist, and now fire captain.

The LACoFD is proud to congratulate and recognize Captain Frye as a team member that goes above and beyond while demonstrating exceptional dedication and leadership.
