On Thursday, March 3, 2022, VCA Charities awarded a $20,000 disaster relief grant to the Los Angeles County Fire Foundation, in support of the the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s (LACoFD) search dog team. The formal presentation took place at Del Valle Regional Training Center in Castaic.
Representatives from VCA Charities had the opportunity to tour the training facilities and meet members of the LACoFD search dog team which is a highly trained canine search and rescue unit that is part of FEMA’s California Task Force 2 (CA-TF2). They also watched the canines show off their rescue skills during a disaster demonstration.
The LACoFD appreciates VCA Charities for its donation and commitment to supporting communities in crisis!
