Second Annual Retirement Recognition Ceremony

Second Annual Retirement Recognition Ceremony 1024 682 Layla Romero

On Monday, May 1, 2024, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) held the second annual Retirement Recognition Ceremony to express gratitude to retired personnel for their commitment and service to the Department.

Held at the LACoFD’s Cecil R. Gehr Training Center, Chief Deputy Jon O’Brien, members of the Executive Team, Chaplains, Honor Guard, Association of Chiefs (AOC), Los Angeles County Fire Museum, and Peer Support joined family, friends, and colleagues to celebrate over 30 retirees during this ceremonial luncheon.

This year, the AOC presented two special recognition awards to individuals who retired at the rank of battalion chief. The Fire Museum presented all retirees with a retirement challenge coin. Their professionalism and dedication to upholding the Department’s core values while serving the residents of the Los Angeles County does not go unacknowledged.

This event was made possible thanks to the generosity of Los Angeles County Fire Fighters Local 1014, Association of Chiefs, Los Angeles County Fire Museum, and F&A Federal Credit Union.
