The County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) joined millions nationwide, on July 4, 2024, to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday and to honor the courageous individuals who selflessly serve to safeguard the nation.

As a symbol of solidarity and embodiment of the Department’s core values, caring, courage, commitment, community, integrity, and teamwork, LACoFD Deputy Fire Chief Eleni Pappas, and Acting Assistant Fire Chief Khoi Dao joined LACoFD Division 4 fire personnel to attend various Fourth of July community events in the cities of Artesia, Cerritos, Hawaiian Gardens, La Mirada, La Habra, and Whittier.

This annual occasion was marked by a strong sense of community pride, with families coming together to enjoy quality time with loved ones.  Many cities throughout LACoFD Division 4 decorated various landmarks with red, white, and blue flags, and applied other decorations to commemorate Independence Day.

The LACoFD extends its gratitude to all participating Department team members for their contributions in this year’s celebrations.
