The Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) held a formal graduation ceremony to celebrate Recruit Class 167’s successful completion of the 17-week fire academy on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. The ceremony took place at the Cecil R. Gehr Memorial Combat Training Center at Department Headquarters.
Family and friends joined the Executive Team as the 35 recruits proudly received their LACoFD firefighter badges and took an oath to serve the residents in Los Angeles County. The new recruits also had a chance to show off their new fire-safety skills
That next day, 34 recruits began their first assignments as probationary firefighters and one as a probationary firefighter paramedic.
