To increase public education and community risk reduction efforts, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) is proud to share a new public service announcement (PSA) campaign highlighting the dangers of rising carbon monoxide (CO) levels in the home.

This PSA will be featured on the LACoFD’s social media platforms and website to share with residents’ important safety tips to protect their loved ones from carbon monoxide. Though invisible and odorless, this gas can quickly become life threatening.

The Department is encouraging everyone to stay proactive by installing carbon monoxide detectors on each floor of their homes, testing detectors every six months to ensure they are in working condition and staying safe by knowing the signs of CO poisoning.
