In honor of Women’s History Month, County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) Fire Captain Sheila Kelliher-Berkoh and Community Services Liaison (CSL) Megan Currier were recognized at the 2nd Annual International Women’s Day Luncheon on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

The Las Virgenes Water District, Cities of Agoura Hills, and Calabasas honored local female leaders during the luncheon. Among those honored were Captain Kelliher-Berkoh, CSL Currier, and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sergeant Sanchez for their exceptional response, leadership, courage, community advocacy, and collaborative efforts while assigned to the Palisades wildfire in January 2025.

Their contributions serve as a reminder of the vital role women serve in shaping communities, whether during a crisis or everyday life.

Chief Kelliher-Berkoh and CSL Currier’s legacy will continue to inspire future generations of leaders, ensuring women’s history is celebrated and not just remembered.
