La Canada Flintridge, Antelope Valley, and Montebello CERT Training 1024 768 Amelia Garcia

The County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) hosted two Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) trainings during the months of April and May 2024 in the Antelope Valley and La Cañada Flintridge.

Additionally, LACoFD CERT cadre members joined the Los Angeles City and Long Beach Fire Departments to assist the Montebello Fire Department in hosting a CERT training for local residents.

Community members successfully completed the 20-hour Federal Emergency Management Agency CERT training sessions consisting of hands-on life- saving skills, fire safety, and classroom instruction.

Certificates were presented to each participant in recognition of their dedication and success in completing the CERT training.

Thank you to the CERT administrative cadre and instructors for ensuring the communities we serve are provided the skills and tools necessary to take care of themselves, their families, neighbors, and coworkers in the event of a disaster.
