In a heartwarming tribute, two County of Los Angeles Fire Department first responders were honored at a Los Angeles Clippers basketball game at the Intuit Dome on Friday, March 7, 2025, celebrating Women’s History Month.

Fire Fighter Paramedic (FFPM) Devina Reynolds and Fire Fighter (FF) Ashlee Desire were honored for their bravery, dedication, and commitment to serving the community. The crowd applauded and cheered as the announcer spotlighted the first responders during the halftime recognition.

FFPM Reynolds has worked for the Department for five years. “I presently and proudly serve the City of Inglewood,” said FFPM Reynolds.

FF Desire proudly serves her hometown as a hazmat specialist for the Department. “As a single mom to my 11-year-old son, I have learned to balance a demanding career and family, as I remain an advocate for more women in the fire service,” said FF Desire.

This recognition in front of thousands of fans is a great reminder of the contributions of women in public safety as well as a positive inspiration for young girls.
