Recruit Academy 176 Graduation Ceremony

On Friday, May 23, 2025, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) hosted a formal graduation ceremony to celebrate Recruit Academy 176 at the Cecil R. Gehr Memorial Combat Training Center in unincorporated East Los Angeles.

Family and friends joined the Executive Team and Recruit Training Cadre to honor the 43 graduates on their successful completion of the rigorous 87-day firefighting training academy.

“The strength and success of our great Department is built upon the fortitude of our members – past and present – who remain brave, faithful, and committed to our core values and mission of protecting lives, the environment, and property,” said Fire Chief Anthony C. Marronne. “I encourage each all of you to maintain the same level of pride, passion, and enthusiasm that you walked in with on Day One – ant that you carry that with you throughout your career.”

After proudly receiving their LACoFD firefighter badge, each graduate proudly recited the Firefighter’s Oath to faithfully serve the community as County of Los Angeles firefighters.
