On Saturday, April 6, 2024, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department’s (LACoFD) Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (ODEI) Recruitment Unit, Examination Section, and Executive Support Division team members participated in the Cal-JAC Firefighter Career Expo at the Firefighter Candidate Training Center (FCTC) in the City of Livermore.
Team members attended the event to promote the Fire Fighter Trainee job posting, as well as share additional LACoFD career pathways and fire-safety information. Over 20 fire departments from throughout the State were also on hand at the recruitment event.
This free event featured a CPAT practice course, informational seminars, fire apparatus, and much more!
As perspective firefighter candidates worked to complete the CPAT practice course, LACoFD Fire Fighter Specialist Natalie Nardone and Fire Fighter Pauline McGee were engaged, teaching techniques to help the individuals navigate the course.
The LACoFD is proud to expand recruitment outreach beyond the County of Los Angeles service area and looks forward to future opportunities in neighboring counties and across the nation.
