On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) Fire Fighter Specialist (FFS) Ryan Gennaro was honored as the Fire Prevention Division’s 32nd Annual Perpetual Award of Excellence recipient.
Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone and Chief Deputy Theresa Barrera were honored to join Deputy Fire Chief Albert Yanagisawa, Assistant Fire Chief Richard Stillwagon, and members of the Fire Prevention Division to present FFS Gennaro with the Perpetual Award of Excellence, along with a scroll from the Board of Supervisors, for demonstrating exceptional commitment to fire prevention and safety.
FFS Gennaro has displayed exemplary dedication and commitment in his current role in the Fire Prevention Division as a Fire Inspector for the Santa Clarita office. He plays a pivotal role in providing code interpretations and developing training programs and curriculum for inspector preparatory classes. His contributions also extend to the improvement of the Fire Prevention fee schedule and fee collection processes that support operational efficiency within the Department.
FFS Gennaro is to be commended for his 17 years of loyal and dedicated service to Los Angeles County residents and communities, and for continually sharing his knowledge and expertise to many LACoFD members.
