The County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) held a 20-hour Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training course in the City of West Hollywood during the month of November 2025.

Twenty-four community members participated in the CERT training, acquiring skills in disaster
preparedness, fire suppression, light and search rescue operations, disaster psychology and team
organization, triage, and terrorism.

To culminate the training, the class engaged in a disaster scenario to put their newly acquired skills to the test through a disaster exercise where they were instructed to respond as if they were a part of a CERT team. Each participant worked diligently earning them a certificate of completion.
