Little Library Unveiling at Fire Station 87

Little Library Unveiling at Fire Station 87 1024 682 Isidro Armenta

A Little Free Library was installed at County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) Fire Station 87 in the City of Industry on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in memorial to the Garcia family that lived next door to the fire station.

Fire Captain Al Wilson, with support from Fire Stations 105 and 87 were instrumental in creating the little library and making this installation possible, in honor of their neighbors, Santos and Concepcion Garcia, who recently passed away.

Family members from as far as Modesto, California attended the installation ceremony.  As part of the unveiling, family members shared their pride in this community little library that represents the decades-long friendship and importance of giving back to the community.

The County of Los Angeles Fire Department is a proud neighbor in every community we serve.  Our thoughts are with the Garcia family, and we thank them for sharing Santos and Conception with our Fire Department family.
