Antelope Valley Hosts 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony Adam Carrillo

 

The Los Angeles County Fire Department’s (LACoFD) Honor Guard, chaplains and firefighters from Fire Station 24 in Palmdale participated in a multi-agency 9/11 remembrance ceremony on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.  The ceremony took place at the Fallen Heroes Memorial at the Antelope Valley Mall.

The Fallen Heroes Memorial honors members of fire and law enforcement who have served in the Antelope Valley and died in the line of duty.

This year’s 9/11 remembrance ceremony included participants from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol, U.S. Forest Service, Angeles National Forest and the Palmdale High School Chamber Singers.  During the ceremony, the names of men and women who were killed in the line of duty were also read. 

Among those displayed on the Fallen Heroes Memorial and honored at the event were LACoFD personnel, including Fire Captain Philip B. Goodell, Helicopter Pilot Thomas P. Grady, Fire Captain Daniel E. Elkins, Fire Captain Tedmund Hall and Fire Fighter Specialist Arnaldo Quinones.
