Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Month 1024 538 Leslie Carrasco

During October, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month to honor those impacted, show support, and raise vital awareness. We commend the strength of everyone facing this disease, as well as the families, friends, caregivers, and healthcare professionals who walk alongside them.

As part of our commitment to community health and well-being, the Department encourages uniformed personnel to wear the LACoFD breast cancer awareness patch throughout the month. Professional staff are also encouraged to wear pink shirts or blouses with blue jeans every Friday.

These visible efforts remind us to honor those we have lost, stand with those currently fighting, and celebrate every survivor as we spread awareness across the communities we serve.
