California State Senator Anthony J. Portantino of the 25th District and Los Angeles County Fifth District Supervisor Kathryn Barger hosted a joint wildfire town hall meeting on Monday, November 18, 2019, at Lone Hill Middle School in San Dimas.

The community meeting provided a platform for experts and representatives from the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD), Sheriff’s Department, Southern California Edison, American Red Cross, California Department of Insurance and City of San Dimas to share information about available resources to combat large-scale wildfires, emphasize the importance of annual brush clearance requirements, discuss ways for residents to prepare for all types of emergencies and review the Ready! Set! Go! Wildfire Action Plan: fire.lacounty.gov/rsg.

About 40 residents attended the panel discussion emceed by LACoFD Community Services Liaison Adriana Watson from Division II.
