City of La Puente Hosts Appreciation Luncheon for Fire Station 26

The City of La Puente’s community outreach team, also known as the Programs Rehabilitation Outreach Services (P.R.O.S.) Team, held an appreciation luncheon on November 2, 3, and 4, 2022, for all shifts at Fire Station 26.

Members of the P.R.O.S. Team work with the homeless community on a daily basis, striving to provide the best possible services to homeless individuals.

Since its implementation in August 2021, the P.R.O.S. Team has developed a strong working relationship with Fire Station 26.

After sharing this with Councilmember Nadia Mendoza, she generously offered to allocate funds for the appreciation luncheon.

During the November 2nd luncheon, Mayor Charlie Klinakis and City Manager Bob Lindsey presented Fire Station 26 with a certificate of recognition which acknowledged the station for its dedicated service and contributions by assisting the P.R.O.S. Team with those experiencing homelessness. They also thanked the team members for their stewardship and for caring for residents.

While presenting the certificate, City Manager Lindsey praised the unique relationship that has developed between Fire Station 26 and the P.R.O.S. Team, and the station’s excellent response times and support in accomplish the P.R.O.S. Team’s mission.
