The newly hired Ocean Lifeguards will begin their official assignments, protecting over 72 miles of the Southern California coastline with an annual average of nearly 52 million beach goers, in time for the festive Memorial Day weekend.

OLA 36 is the first of three classes that will graduate this year.

Congratulations and best wishes to the Department’s newest Ocean Lifeguards!
