The County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) commends the diligent daily emergency operations work of the 9-1-1 Communications Center under the Command and Control Division.

Dispatchers often serve as the first point of contact during incidents, and their swift professionalism plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our residents and communities.

During the fourth quarter of calendar year 2025, from October to December, dispatchers saw a slight decrease in 9-1-1 calls. There were 151,027 inbound calls that resulted in resources dispatched to 113,579 incidents. The busiest day in this quarterly period was December 24, 2025, which saw 2,350 inbound calls and 1,583 dispatched incidents.

The LACoFD is deeply appreciative to all dispatchers providing support to numerous 9-1-1 callers and providing them with expert support and connection to critical services during their time of need. These dispatchers are often the Department’s first, first responders, and we remain grateful for the work they do.
