First responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LAC0FD) were among the first to ride Six Flags Magic Mountain’s brand-new WONDER WOMAN Flight of Courage which is the park’s 20th rollercoaster to date.

The official opening ceremony took place on the morning of Thursday, July 14, 2022.  During the ceremony, the theme park honored two first responder heroes who exemplify bravery and courage in all they do:  LACoFD’s Deputy Fire Chief Eleni Pappas and Sergeant Sherry Clark from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The WONDER WOMAN Flight of Courage ride embraces female empowerment and equality for all.  Several team members joined Fifth District County Supervisor Kathryn Barger on the rollercoaster as they made HERstory, celebrating the ride’s opening.

The Department was proud to be included and invited to support the new coaster at the park which falls within its jurisdiction.
