Throughout the month of December 2024, County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) team members joined residents throughout Los Angeles County to help spread holiday cheer at various community events. A few highlights this holiday season included the annual LACoFD Air and Wildland Division Holiday Luncheon, Pomona Chamber of Commerce Annual Holiday for Heroes Luncheon, and the Glendora Christmas Parade.
The annual Air and Wildland Division Holiday Luncheon, held in Pacoima, brought together Department colleagues and retirees on Thursday, December 12, 2024, for a delicious meal, the opportunity to visit with one another, and reflect on achievements this past year. On Friday, December 13, 2024, in the presence of over 100 community and business leaders, Fire Captain Jeremy Frye was honored as the Pomona Chamber of Commerce Firefighter of the Year. To close out the festive week of holiday activities, firefighters from Fire Stations 151 and 103 were thrilled to participate in the 2024 Glendora Hometown Christmas Parade held on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
Events like these highlight the Department’s commitment to community engagement beyond emergency response. The presence of personnel during the holiday season showcases the importance of community and hometown attentiveness.
The LACoFD extends warm wishes this holiday season to all Department personnel and their families, retirees, and residents.
