On Presidents Day, Monday, February 17, 2025, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) and the Los Angeles County Stentorians proudly participated in the 40th Annual Kingdom Day Parade.

This year’s theme, “Peace and Unity, Let it Start with Us,” was at the forefront as numerous Los Angeles County and City public-service agencies, departments, organizations, schools and community members came together to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

LACoFD Deputy Fire Chief William Mayfield, Assistant Fire Chief Alvin Brewer, Department members, and Explorers walked amongst community members handing out information on career and community programs as well as junior firefighter stickers.

“It is an honor to be at the 40th Annual Kingdom Day Parade with many representatives from the LACoFD,” said Chief Brewer. “Our Department strives to represent the communities we serve, so we are taking this opportunity to inform everyone here today of the career pathways and community programs we offer.”

Since its inception, the Department has participated in the Kingdom Day Parade, “the world’s largest and longest running life celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King.”
