On Sunday, February 2, 2025, County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) members were truly grateful for the invitation and honor to attend the 67th Annual Grammy Awards Ceremony held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

This year’s Grammy Awards carried a renewed sense of purpose, uplifting residents and communities who lost so much, including musical professionals, through music, raising funds to support wildfire relief efforts, and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders.

“They (the Grammys) pivoted to make this night about the people in the communities that are suffering and lost so much in the tragic wildfires,” said Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone. “MusiCares L.A. Fire Relief, all from L.A., we’re L.A. Strong and we’re going to get through this together and not leave the sides of those who need our assistance.”

In addition to attending the Grammys, and walking the Red Carpet, 21 LACoFD members were ceremoniously honored and invited to the stage to present the coveted award of the evening, Album of the Year. As the screen rose and Grammy host, Trevor Noah, announced LACoFD members as the next presenter, they were greeted with a heartfelt reception and standing ovation. Following the video package sharing the nominees, Fire Captain Sheila Kelliher-Berkoh and Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone remained on stage and were beyond ecstatic to announce Cowboy Carter by Beyoncé as Album of the Year.

It was truly a night to remember filled with inspiring musical performances and once in a lifetime moments for first responders. The LACoFD extends its immense gratitude to the Recording Academy and the entire production team for this amazing opportunity.
