On Thursday, October 17, 2019, Los Angeles County Fire Chief Daryl Osby joined Fourth District Supervisor Janice HahnĀ and other local officials at Biola University in La Mirada for a news conference about the Great California ShakeOut disaster preparedness drill.

The Great California ShakeOut drill has taken place every year in Southern California since 2008.Ā  Since then, the ShakeOut drill has grown with millions of people participating all over the United States and in other countries.

The annual drill encourages everyone to be prepared for the ā€œBig Oneā€ and serves as a great reminder to review emergency plans, update supplies and discuss overall disaster preparedness.
