On Friday, January 19, 2024, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate LACoFD Paramedic Engine 59 in the City of Whittier.

LACoFD Chief Deputy of Emergency Operations Jon O’Brien, members of the of the East Regional Operations Bureau, County of Los Angeles Fourth District Supervisor Janice Hahn, Whittier Mayor Joe Vinatieri, Councilmembers, City staff, and other partners gathered to welcome this resource.

Paramedic Engine 59 , optimized for quick response times, ensures faster paramedic assessment and treatment of patients in the city and surrounding areas.

The addition of LACoFD’s Paramedic Engine 59 represents a significant milestone in our commitment to provide top-notch emergency services in the communities we serve.
