The Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) joined the 37th annual Kingdom Day Parade on Monday, June 20, 2022, in Los Angeles.

This year’s theme “Healing America” featured various public service agencies, community groups, floats, performing arts teams, and elected officials, celebrating the life and memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as well as recognizing the newly observed federal holiday, Juneteenth.

Fire Chief Daryl Osby, the Executive team, and a host of Department personnel walked the three-mile parade, interacting with community members along the way.

“It is important to celebrate Juneteenth…to reflect about where we have been as a country and what we still need to do,” said Chief Osby. “Being here in Los Angeles and seeing diverse cultures and generations come together as one is significant.”

Each year, the LACoFD participates in the Kingdom Day Parade which is usually held in January but was postponed this year due to COVID-19.
