Team members from the Department’s Crafts Section handcrafted and presented a heartfelt gift to the family of Fire Fighter Jonathan Flagler who passed away in the line of duty in early January 2022.

Building Crafts Superintendent I David Breen, Carpenter Supervisor Michael Graham, and Carpenters Eric Rische, Kylie Stump, and Ismael Valenzuela all pitched in and took the time to build a personalized and inscribed memento box which carefully displayed Fire Fighter Flagler’s helmet and turnouts.

To help complete the project, The Glass Doctor in Montebello donated the glass for the memento box and Painter Working Supervisor Armando Villareal from the Internal Services Department’s sign shop donated the lettering for the glass.

The specially crafted gift was then personally delivered to the Flagler family in March 2022.
