The Los Angeles County Fire Department walked away with four different plaques at this year’s 35th annual Productivity and Quality Awards (PQA) luncheon at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion Music Center in Downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

The PQA ceremony is an opportunity for the Board of Supervisors, Chief Executive Office, and the Quality and Productivity Commission to recognize innovative and best practices developed by County employees which improve County services and/or save taxpayer money.

The Department received the following 2022 PQA awards:

  • Changemaker Award: Sirens of Silence (The LACoFD’s Autism and Special Needs Awareness and Inclusion Program)
  • County Image Enhancement Award: Arrive Alive (An ECMO-CPR Project; a partnership with the Department of Health Services)
  • Top Ten Award & Mega Million Dollar Award: This Is Our Shot! (A Mobile Vaccine Team Fights COVID Campaign; a collaboration with County agencies and all Supervisorial Districts)
