On Saturday, October 4, 2025, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) Sirens of Silence Program was recognized at the HollyRod Foundation’s annual DesignCare Gala.

Held at NYA studios in Hollywood, this annual event celebrates those who champion the HollyRod Foundation’s mission and raise vital fund to empower families impacted by Autism and Parkinson’s.

The LACoFD’s Sirens of Silence Program was highlighted for its commitment to increasing autism and special needs acceptance with an emphasis on education for first responders and caregivers. The Sirens of Silence Program trains LACoFD personnel to better serve the diverse needs of neurodiverse individuals with sensory sensitivities during emergency incidents and community events.

The DesignCare Gala was a night filled with compassion and philanthropy to forward the HollyRod Foundation’s unwavering support for the autism and Parkinson’s communities. Hundreds of supporters and advocates attended the event, which featured a fashion show, live and silent auction, and moving stories from influential celebrities and community members.

During the event, Holly Robinson Pete invited LACoFD members to speak about Sirens of Silence, sharing the program’s origins and community impacts. The Department was truly honored to be a part of a meaningful events and continues its commitment to serving the community with acceptance, empathy, and compassion.
