The County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) was honored with the American Heart Association’s (AHA) 2023 Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Plus Award.

This is the seventh year in a row that the LACoFD has earned this distinguished award!

The Training and Emergency Medical Services Bureau team has constantly gone above and beyond to provide high-quality service and care to victims of ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) heart attacks which earned the team this year’s recognition. Pre-hospital care plays a vital role in a patients’ outcome and recovery from this life-threatening heart attack.

Since 2014, the Mission: Lifeline EMS Recognition program annually awards pre-hospital agencies that demonstrate exceptional STEMI heart attack and stroke care.

The LACoFD is proud and congratulates our strong and remarkable EMS team.
