The County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) is proud to announce the promotion of LaVerne Holley to Chief, Materials Management, Fire.
Ms. Holley officially began her new role on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
Since starting her career at the LACoFD in 2007, Ms. Holley has been an asset to the Department, previously serving as a Supply Officer I and II, Warehouse Manager, and most recently as the Acting Chief, Materials Management, Fire. Ms. Holley has played an instrumental role in leading projects and improving operations in the Materials Management Division (MMD).
In her new capacity, Ms. Holley will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the MMD, including but not limited to contracts, procurement, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution of services, supplies, and equipment for the department’s daily and emergency incident operations. Her extensive experience and strong track record of success makes Ms. Holley ideally suited to lead the Division into a phase of growth and innovation.
“Ms. Holley brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as a fresh perspective to the MMD,” said LACoFD Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone. “I am confident that under Ms. Holley’s guidance, MMD will meet the needs of the Department.”
