With over ten million residents, the County of Los Angeles (County) relies on the collective efforts of numerous departments, commissions, agencies, and their workforce to meet the diverse needs of the communities served.
One commission focused on the quality and delivery of those services provided to County resident is the County’s Quality and Productivity Commission (QPC). Comprised of 17 members, the QPC promotes and encourages innovation, productivity, quality of services, and efficiencies that shape major milestones in County government. The QPC also plays a pivotal role in assisting County departments in enhancing their offerings and disseminating best practices.
On Monday, June 10, Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone, along with Executive Support Division Manager Heidi Oliva (Luna), and Communications Section Manager Ron Fisher, had the privilege of hosting the Quality and Productivity Commission for their visit with the County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD). As part of the visit, Fire Chief Marrone showcased innovative programs and notable achievements, while also engaging in discussions focused on his top priorities, challenges, and opportunities for the QPC to support the Department.
This visit and engaging interaction serves to gain insights into LACoFD operations and priorities and allow for an exchange of ideas and discuss ways to improve and enhance quality and productivity in the Department. The QPC visits are scheduled with all County Departments, including the LACoFD, every two years.
The LACoFD is appreciative to the QPC for the ability to empower innovative solutions and provide efficient, effective, and impactful services to the residents and communities we collectively serve.
