On Friday, October 24, 2025, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) hosted a formal graduation ceremony to celebrate Recruit Academy 178 at the Rosco C. Ingalls Auditorium at East Los Angeles College.
The LACoFD Executive Team and Recruit Training Cadre were joined by the family and friends of the graduates to honor their completion of the rigorous 87-day firefighting training academy.
LACoFD Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone commended the 30 graduates for their commitment to the fire service and the Department.
“I wish each of you the very best for a long and rewarding career as a County of Los Angeles firefighter,” said Chief Marrone. “As your duties challenge you physically and mentally, I am confident you will stay dedicated to your profession and prideful in your service to others.”
Each graduate received their official LACoFD firefighter badge and proudly recited the Firefighter’s Oath to faithfully serve the community as a County of Los Angeles firefighter.
Congratulations to Recruit Academy 178, the newest LACoFD probationary firefighters!
