The 2023 ABC7 Spark of Love campaign has officially come to an end!

Over the past 30 years, this campaign has generously given gifts to many young individuals in Southern California, amounting to nearly ten million toys and sports equipment donations.

This year, the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD), in partnership with ABC7, distributed a total of 32,014 unwrapped new toys and sports equipment for underserved children and teens in Los Angeles County.

The LACoFD kicked off the Spark of Love toy drive on Friday, December 9, 2022, with a Stuff-a-Bus event at the Los Cerritos Center in Cerritos. The next day, on Saturday, December 10, Fifth District County Supervisor Kathryn Barger hosted her annual toy giveaway at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The Department also partnered with the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams to host a Spark of Love toy distribution event at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Thursday, December 22.

The Department would like to extend its appreciation to ABC7, Toys for Tots, Subaru, the Lifeguard Division, and the community for their donations and diligent efforts in ensuring yet another successful campaign.
