On Friday April 17, 2026, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) honored the achievements of four firefighters and one ocean lifeguard specialist who successfully completed the UCLA Paramedic Program. A separate cohort of twelve firefighters also successfully completed the Paramedic Training Institute Paramedic Program on Wednesday April 22, 2026.
The Training and Emergency Medical Services Bureau and Lifeguard Division joined family, friends, and colleagues to celebrate the graduating members of Paramedic Class 81, at the Ronald F. Deaton Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles, and the Paramedic Training Institute Class 272, at the Rancho Los Amigos Rehab Center Auditorium in Downey.
New paramedics are equipped with the skills and knowledge to make an impact in their communities, providing advanced life-saving care to residents.
