39th Annual Kingdom Day Parade! 1024 681 LACoFD Communications Section

The County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) joined the community, County of Los Angeles Second District Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell, public safety partners, and leaders from across the County and state of California to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., at the 39th Annual Kingdom Day Parade in Los Angeles.

This year’s theme was “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop, Going to the Promised Land.”

LACoFD Chief Deputy of Emergency Operations, Jon O’Brien, members of the Executive Team, the Stentorians of Los Angeles County, firefighters, lifeguards, and professional team members attended the event and reflected on the of the accomplishments of the civil rights leader and the impact of his actions.

“It is a true joy to be out here with everyone and walk amongst the community in the annual Kingdom Day Parade,” said Chief O’Brien. “Los Angeles County strives to be a model of equity, through education empowerment, and action… we embrace our communities and encourage them to be a part of our team.”

Each year, since its inception, the LACoFD has proudly participated in the parade spreading hometown pride.

The LACoFD is honored to continuously be a part of this historic event.
