Celebrating Black History Month! 150 150 LACoFD Communications Section

Throughout February, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) and Los Angeles County Stentorians proudly celebrate Black History Month by recognizing the exceptional achievements and contributions of African American/Black individuals. This month-long tribute honors the vital role that they have played and continue to do so in shaping the Department and serving the diverse communities of Los Angeles County.

Team members have worked diligently to attend events in the community in honor of Black History Month such as the Black College Expo, Blazing Trails – Celebrating the Legacy of African American Firefighters, and the upcoming Kingdom Day Parade, to name a few. These events serve as a reminder of the importance of celebrating the rich history and remarkable achievements of African American/Black community.

The LACoFD expresses its deep gratitude to all African American/Black team members who have and continue to dedicate their service to the LACoFD and Los Angeles County residents. Their courage, resilience, and commitment to public safety have left an indelible mark on the Department’s history and continue to inspire future generations of LACoFD team members.

The LACoFD encourages all to reflect on African American/Black contributions and work together to honor the legacy of Black History Month, both within the LACoFD and beyond.
