Thirty-three members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) Lifeguard Division’s Ocean Lifeguard Academy 40 formally graduated on Friday, June 9, 2023.
The graduation ceremony was held at the Dockweiler Youth Center in Playa del Rey.
Acting Chief Deputy Jon O’Brien addressed the graduating class and presented them with their official identification cards.
Family and friends joined the cadre to honor the graduates’ successful completion of the rigorous Academy.
