The County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) congratulates Fire Fighter Specialist (FFS) Paul Johnson who retired on Friday, September 13, 2024.
FFS Johnson’s last day worked was on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Fire Station 101 in the City of Claremont – with his last call at 6:40 a.m. the morning of September 13.
FFS Johnson dedicated 26 years of service to the Vernon Fire Department and four years to the LACoFD. He looks forward to this next chapter of life in retirement spending time with his wife, and family in Texas.
On behalf of the LACoFD, we commend and offer our heartfelt gratitude to FFS Johnson for his 30 years of dedicated service to Los Angeles County residents and communities.
Additionally, we would also like to congratulate all Department personnel who retired from County service between April and June 2024. As public servants, retirement often marks the end of a busy chapter.
