The County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) walked away with three plaques from this year’s 37th Annual Productivity and Quality Awards (PQA) luncheon held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion Music Center in Downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
This year’s theme, “Commitment to Serving People and Solving Problems” recognized and celebrated excellence, efficiency, effectiveness, and inclusion in Los Angeles County government.
The LACoFD received the following collaborative 2024 PQA awards:
• Customer Service Award: EPIC-LA: An Extraordinary Journey (in collaboration with Regional Planning, Chief Executive Office, Parks and Recreation, Public Health, and Public Works)
• Outstanding Teamwork Award: Saving Lives Through Hands-Only CPR (in collaboration with Public Health, Beaches and Harbors, Chief Executive Office, Child Support Services, Children and Family Services, County Counsel, Health Services, Internal Services Department, Parks and Recreation, Public Social Services, Public Works, Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, Sheriff’s Department, Treasurer and Tax Collector, American Red Cross, University of Southern California, LA County Office of Education, Los Angeles Fire Department, and American Heart Association)
• Top Ten Award Award: Reducing Barriers to Attain Child Care for All (in collaboration with Public Health, Public Works, Regional Planning, California Department of Public Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, and Public Counsel)
