Recently, Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George donated superhero dolls to the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) to provide emotional support to children dealing with emergency trauma.

At six years old, the basketball athlete watched paramedics come to the aid of his mother who had suffered a stroke.  Knowing how scary that experience can be for a child, George partnered with the Shadow Buddies Foundation to create a giveaway doll in his likeness.

“Shadow Buddies represent hope, by support and comfort through hard times,” stated George on the Shadow Buddies Foundation’s website.

The Paul George Foundation partnered with the Shadow Buddies Foundation to donate the superhero dolls for use during incidents in the Antelope Valley where the basketball athlete grew up.

The Shadow Buddies Foundation is a children’s charity dedicated to providing support to children with severe illnesses and disabilities.  Shadow Buddies dolls offer the companionship of a friend to seriously ill or medically challenged children.
