The 2021 Spark of Love campaign, organized annually through the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD), ABC7, and other local fire agencies, successfully concluded its 29th year.
This year, residents generously donated and helped distribute more than 27,000 unwrapped new toys and sports equipment, so they may be given to Southern California area children and teens in need during the holiday season.
The LACoFD officially kicked-off the Spark of Love toy drive on Friday, December 10, 2021, with a Stuff-A-Bus drive-thru event at the Los Cerritos Center in Cerritos. All LACoFD fire stations also collected donations as part of the yearly campaign.
Over the past three decades, the Spark of Love campaign has gathered and distributed more than nine million toys with the help of the overwhelming generosity of residents and community organizations.
The Department would like to thank ABC7, Toys for Toys, Subaru, and members from the LACoFD’s Lifeguard Division for their efforts in ensuring another successful campaign and providing thousands of gifts to children and teens in need.
