On Monday, January 10, 2022, the San Clemente community held a candlelight vigil at the Ole Hanson Beach Club to honor the life of one of its own residents, Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) Fire Fighter Jonathan Flagler.

LACoFD team members joined FF Flagler’s family and friends who gathered to share stories and memories of the fallen firefighter who devoted 21 years to the fire service; FF Flagler transferred to LACoFD in October 2020 after spending 19 years with the Vernon Fire Department.

FF Flagler tragically lost his life while battling an early morning house fire in Rancho Palos Verdes on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Remembered as a loving husband, father, uncle, friend, and brave team member, FF Flagler leaves behind his wife, Jenny, and two sons, Brody and Jack.  A flag ceremony and celebration of life memorial service will be held in his honor next week.
