LACoFD Recognized as Community Heroes by Supervisor Solis WPPRO Administrator

On Sunday, September 1, 2019, First District Supervisor Hilda Solis hosted her Community Heroes reception at the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona.  She personally thanked and recognized Los Angeles County Fire Department team members from Squad 87/Fire Station 87 for completing their first year of providing paramedic services to the unincorporated communities of Avocado Heights, Bassett, City of Industry and La Puente. 

“It was outstanding for Supervisor Solis to recognize our hardworking personnel from Fire Station 87 and the positive difference the new squad is making in multiple communities,” said LACoFD Chief Deputy David R. Richardson Jr.

The Community Heroes reception took place during the fair’s opening weekend which also included the Annual Community Day Parade that features County leaders and department heads.  Chief Richardson and Division VIII Assistant Fire Chief Jim Robinson participated in the parade aboard Light Force 185.
