County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) 9-1-1 dispatchers are the vital first link in emergency response. Their compassion and quick decisions are essential to connecting 9-1-1 callers with lifesaving assistance and ensuring the safety of our communities.

Between April and June 2026, the LACoFD 9-1-1 Communications Center handled 156,727 calls, resulting in 114,569 dispatched incidents:

  • Busiest Day (Call Volume): May 19, 2026 (2,009 calls)
  • Busiest Day (Incident Volume): May 11, 2026 (1,426 incidents)

The May 11 surge consisted of 1,185 emergency medical services, 124 fires, and 117 other incidents.
