Tuesday, March 26, 2024, marks the three-year active duty passing of County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) Fire Captain Brian “Sharky” Levasseur. Sharky dedicated over 30 years of faithful service to the LACoFD and County of Los Angeles residents. He is truly missed.

In Sharky’s honor, one of our own, Fire Fighter Specialist (FFS) Joey DeLuca, assigned to Fire Station 187, designed a limited-edition memorial tribute sticker available for purchase beginning Tuesday, March 26. Memorial tribute stickers are available for purchase at Fire Stations 170, 147, 187, 24, and 126 using the Venmo QR Code included in the flyer pictured above.

All proceeds go directly to Sharky’s daughter, Kaylie Levasseur, who is currently a freshman at Grand Canyon University. On such a difficult day, we are confident the shark emojis Kaylie will receive are sure to bring a smile to her face and fill her heart with beautiful and treasured memories of her dad.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt appreciation to FFS DeLuca for this supportive and caring tribute. The camaraderie and teamwork between our firefighters are a testament to the strength of their relationships and the fire service.

Job well done, FFS DeLuca!
