The new NBC show LA Fire & Rescue, featuring County of Los Angeles firefighters, premiered on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. (PT).

On its first night, LA Fire & Rescue was rated number one across all demos!

This docuseries gives a unique overview of the professional and personal lives of first responders and their continued devotion to protecting the community members in Los Angeles County.

Some of the scenes will feature cities, such as Calabasas, Claremont, Compton, Inglewood, Palmdale, Watts, and West Hollywood.

Firefighter, lifeguard and Air Operations crews are shown responding to real incidents as they face uncertain threats.

“It is a great honor and experience to not only do the LA Fire & Rescue show but to provide the world with an in-depth visual of the lifesaving rescues that firefighters do across the nation,” said Fire Captain Sheila Kelliher, one of many dedicated first responders highlighted in the show.

With the support of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department worked with the 44 Blue Production Company and Dick Wolf Entertainment to show a true depiction of the fire service.

LA Fire & Rescue was filmed using handheld and mounted camera equipment specifically designed to help bring the audience along for the ride.

Filmed in 2022, LA Fire & Rescue becomes the second NBC television series to feature the LACoFD.

More than 40 years ago, Emergency! aired for seven seasons on NBC between 1972 and 1979.

You can catch LA Fire & Rescue on NBC every Wednesday night for the next six weeks; it also streams on Peacock the next day.
